Hand surgeons may be a part of the practice of general surgery, orthopeadic surgery, and/or plastic and reconstructive surgery. Procedures that a hand surgeon may perform are: tennis elbow repair, carpal tunnel release, tendon repairs, fracture care, wrist arthroscopy and removal of lesions.

Orthopaedic Surgery

The orthopaedic surgeon is concerned with acute, chronic, traumatic, and recurrent injuries and other disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons do the following procedures: arthroscopic surgery of shoulders and knees, open and closed reduction of dislocations and fractures and arthrodesis (surgical fixation of a joint to promote bone fusion), to name a few.

Otolaryngology (ENT)

Otolaryngologists, referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat, or ENT, deals with monitor the health and treatment of the ear, larynx (throat), nose and upper respiratory tract. Some ENT surgeons are also trained in facial, cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. The ENT physicians at Campus perform functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), septoplasty, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

Pain Medicine / Spine Procedures

This specialty is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndromes, typically of the spine. Pain medicine specialists are usually either anesthesiologists or physiatrists and sometimes orthopeadic surgeons. They may serve as a consultant to other physicians or act as the principal treating physician. The pain medicine specialists at Campus typically provide epidural injections of the spine with pain reducing agents, and selective nerve root blocks.
